Several States in India have partially opened Schools

2021 started with few states in India reopening schools in a phased manner. COVID-19 cases have decreased across India and lockdown restrictions have been eased out though concerns over new Covid strain prevails.  

Schools outside the containment zones in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim have already reopened classes partially since October/November 2020.

Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Assam, Puducherry, Pune, Bihar, Gujrat, Punjab and Rajasthan to reopen schools in a staggered manner in January 2021

Delhi will reopen schools only after COVID-19 vaccine is available to public. Currently only government run medical colleges will be reopened.
