Private-funded education likely to benefit

Wenzhou recently held a symposium about encouraging and guiding private capital to enter the education sector. Vice Minister of Education Lu Xin highly appraised Wenzhou's pilot educational reform during the past year. In fact, Wenzhou and other areas' efforts have laid a solid foundation for the Ministry of Education to push forward private-funded education. The Ministry of Education is actively cooperating with other ministries to try to gain a fair position for private-funded schools. The Ministry of Education recently published the "implementation opinions of the Ministry of Education about encouraging and guiding private capital to enter the education sector." It is believed that, if the 22 items of opinions are well implemented, the private-funded schools sector will see rapid growth.
