Pakistan to reduce syllabi of Secondary and Higher-Secondary examinations across the country

Federal and Provincial Ministries of Education and Professional Training has unilaterally decided to the curriculum of Secondary (Matriculation) and Higher-Secondary (Intermediate) in all provinces across Pakistan. This decision will see the examination session of 2021 to be taken out of a newly reduced syllabus. [1]

The decision was announced in a press release and was taken in light of the current situation around Covid-19 positive cases in different parts of the country. "There will be no change in the format and style of question papers," the notification also cleared about the structure of the exam paper.

The reduced syllabus of Secondary and Higher-Secondary board examination has been uploaded on the official website of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (https://www.fbise.edu.pk/)

Educational institutions across the country have opened in phases from 15 September after a 6 months closure that resulted from the coronavirus lockdown.
