Stanford University, Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology have released "mass open online courses" (MOOC) this year. Students who finish these courses only need to pay a little money to obtain a certificate. People call this kind of certificate a "micro-degree." Nearly 70 universities in China can carry out online tertiary education. They have more than 60,000 students. Online education is sweeping the world, reports Xinhuanet
