The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) has made an announcement on 15 June 2016 about a new UCAS Tariff points for HKDSE qualifications. Under the new system, tariff points awarded to level 3 to level 5** of the HKDSE remains comparable to grades E to A* in the GCE A level examination, see table below. The new UCAS Tariff points apply to students who are planning to start university in the UK in September 2017.
