For the first time in Indian Education history the government is seeking suggestions from students in villages and remote areas to have a say in the new education policy.

The new National Education Policy will be announced taking into account the digitised approach of the Indian Prime Minister which will include digitised training, research and books up to a certain level of study and text books availability through mobile applications.

The minister informed that the government will build 16 research parks through the Indian Institute of Technology, which is five times those built from 2004 to 2014 and industry leaders have invested over Rs.140 crores towards this new initiative.

British Council India will send a detailed report on the new Indian education policy to the UK sector once it is declared by the government.
