The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released the 2013 report on national economic and social development. The per-capita disposable income of urban residents was RMB 26,955 in 2013, up 9.7 per cent from 2012. The admission number of students for postgraduate programmes was 611,000 in 2013. The admission number of college students was 7 million. The number of college graduates was 6.39 million. The number of graduates from senior high schools was 7.99 million. The number of graduates from junior middle schools was 15.62 million. The number of graduates from primary schools was 15.81 million.
