More than RMB 45 billion to be invested in the Project 985
According to the Ministry of Education, more than RMB45 billion will be invested in the new phase of the "Project 985". Central and local government's investment has increased by 102 per cent and 93 per cent respectively.
The "Project 985" was initiated in 1999 and covers 32 top universities in 16 provinces.
