British Council commentary:

Singapore is one of East Asia’s three mature TNE markets, alongside Malaysia and Hong Kong. The TNE sector is very competitive, however opportunities may exist to offer niche subjects not offered in the past. Institutions should research existing provision, employability prospects and student demand for different subject areas before making strategic decisions on programme offerings.

The trend of interest in different subject areas may also be mirrored in subject choices of Singaporean students studying in the UK, with recent years seeing an increase in social science, engineering & technology, and biological science.
