Ministry of Education issues guidance to regulate overseas study tours for the first time

The Ministry of Education has released official guidance to regulate overseas study tours covering schedules, agents and pre-departure briefings. The maximum length should be no longer than three weeks for primary school pupils and six weeks for middle school students. Each tour should visit no more than two countries. The children should be above fourth grade of primary school. If children are under fourth grade, the organisers should clearly understand their liabilities. Parents should inform the schools if their children are going to a tour not organised by their own schools. Schools should inform the education authorities if over five students in one school are in the same tour.
