The RUSA app/portal claims to be a “one-stop” for Higher Education Councils and to discuss Higher Education plans with all states. The portal will have information of all the ongoing projects and the ministry will be tracking all projects on a continual basis. The aim of launching the portal is to improve the quality of education in India, improve classroom learning and teaching methods. 

RUSA is the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) of the Department of Higher Education, MHRD which aims to provide strategic central funding to State Higher Education Departments and Institutions and achieve the broad objectives of access, equity and excellence.
