Major decline in illiteracy rate
The National Statistics Centre recently released a study indicating great improvement in the educational standards of Omani citizens aged above 15 years. The improvement reflects a major shift in the educational sector over the past decade, including an expansion in the higher education section sector in terms of new private universities and colleges.
