The Bolashak Programme (the Bolashak International Scholarship) is a scholarship which is awarded to high-performing students from Kazakhstan to study overseas all expenses paid, provided that they return to Kazakhstan to work for at least five years after graduation. During the period from 1993 to 2017 the Bolashak International Scholarship has been awarded to 10,346 Kazakhstanis for studying at the top 200 universities of 33 countries of the world. It is administered by the Centre for International Programmes (CIP), a sub-organisation of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education and Science. In addition to covering fees and stipend, the Bolashak scholarship covers up to 6 months of pre-sessional ELT training in the UK.

The list of institutions eligible to receive Bolashak scholars is updated every year. The official list of approved UK institutions for 2017 is below. Scholarships awarded in 2017 will only be awarded to students for studies at these institutions.
