Knowledge Park Conference in Lahore

The British Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab to offer support for the development of the Lahore Knowledge Park in summer of 2013. Under this MoU the British Council will provide technical advice in designing the interventions for the project and will bring together relevant world class expertise and highly rated international Universities. 150 international delegates from 15 countries, including, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, USA, Canada, Portugal, Oman, Malaysia, Egypt and UK and around 350 exclusive Pakistani senior policy makers attended the event. The experience opened a new window for all foreign delegates who saw this initiative as an opportunity for future collaborations either as university-industry linkage or as an offshore research and technology centre or a platform for transnational education (TNE). Five MoUs were signed between International Universities and Government of Punjab.
