Muscat (ONA) --- The Joint Committee of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and the Ministry of Social Development held its third meeting after being restructured at SQU.

Dr. Ali bin Saud al-Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor and Yahya bin Badr al-Ma'awali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development co-chaired the meeting.

The Committee reviewed the follow-up report on the implementation of recommendations made at its second meeting, as well as the possibility of including an educational material in the field of sign language as a curriculum for university student.

The Committee discussed the joint efforts between the two sides in awareness programs for the community, especially university students, such as the program of marriage counseling, family guidance and children's rights, as well as the participation of the university in the celebration of Omani Woman Day in October and the possibility of hosting the two sides to a regional conference in 2019.

The formation of this Joint Committee comes to facilitate, enhance and develop cooperation, exchange experiences and information, and unify efforts of mutual interest between SQU and the Ministry of Social Development.
