Indian students on the rise in America

The recent update from Open Doors indicates that the number of Indian students in the United States increased by 6 percent to 102,673 in 2013-14, reversing a three-year trend of declining numbers of Indian students at US campuses.

The increase was driven by enrollment at the graduate level, the report stated

The latest update on Open Doors also mentions the number of international students in the US increased by eight percent to a record high of 886,052 students in the 2013-14 academic year.

Students from the top three places of origin—China, India, and South Korea—now represent approximately 50 percent of the total enrollment of international students in the United States.
