Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad gets IIT Status

Indian School of Mines, the 90-year-old institution specialising in mining studies and applied geology was granted IIT status by the ministry. The institution management has thanked the Government for the declaration. With the IIT status, the faculty and students are expecting to get better placement opportunities, more research funds from the Government and better opportunities for international collaboration.

 UK Institutions that specialise in mining related subject areas can engage with the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad to interact with the students.
