Increasing number of students studying in the US at a young age
According to the latest data of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), there are 23,795 Chinese students in private high schools in the US in the semester 2012/13. This number was only 4,503 in the semester of 2008/09. A Chinese student needs to pay at least US$250,000 for a four-year-long high school course and another US$200,000 for a four-year-long university course in the US.
