An increase observed in number of Indian students searching online for overseas education

A study was done with 2.8 million visits and searches that were captured on ‘Overseas Education page’ of Sulekha.com between 2014 and 2015, across cities of Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad. Sulekha.com is one of India’s largest and fastest-growing digital business and consumer brands, and is active in over 40 Indian cities.

As per the study there has been a 114 per cent increase in search for overseas education as compared to last year.

The statistics of the study reveals in the city of Delhi leads in search for overseas education recorded an increase by 140 per cent as compared to last year. This is closely followed by Bangalore city that has recorded an increase of 122 per cent in number of leads, Hyderabad city that has seen an increase of 99 per cent, Chennai city has recorded an increase of 93 per cent, Mumbai city has shown as increase of 81 per cent, Pune city with an increase of 76 per cent in number of leads and finally Ahmedabad city that showed an increase of 62 per cent.
