An important step in China's higher engineering education

On 19 June, 2013, in South Korea, China became a new member of the "Washington Accord" in an effort to make the country's engineering education more globally recognised. The "Washington Accord" is considered the most authoritative accreditation system, and entry into the accord is expected to help Chinese engineering students obtain more international recognition. There are 4.52m students and 600,000 postgraduates studying engineering in China, representing 32 per cent of all college students. Reports by Moe.edu.cn
