IELTS update for China

IELTS in China is available in a number of cities; whilst the Covid-19 situation is changing quickly and unpredictable, the trend is moving towards re-opening at this point:

As of today, 49 (up from 41 last week) IELTS test centres (including 21 SELT) in 21 (up from 14 last week) cities are open, including centres in seven of the top 10 cities: Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Xian, Shenzen and Wuhan.

We are also hoping to open test centres in 3 more cities in early June, namely in Jinan, Ningbo and Wenzhou.

The IELTS partners are committed to maintaining maximum IELTS capacity through the summer months and beyond, using a variety of strategies, including pop-up centres and online testing.

For any organisations with a particular request pertaining to a region where testing is suspended, please contact ielts.organisations@britishcouncil.org for further support.
