Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent exams begins in Bangladesh

Over 1.2 million  students are appearing for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent exams this year in Bangladesh

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2016 began on Sunday 3 April 2016 across the country.

1,218,628 students from 5833 educational institutions under eight general education boards, Madrasah Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board are sitting for the examinations.

The examinations will end on June 9 while the practical tests would be held from June 11 - 20.

1,020,109 students are sitting for the HSC exams under eight general education boards, while 91,591 students are appearing in Alim (Higher secondary level of madrasa) examinations, 102,132 in Bangladesh Technical Education exams and some 4796 students in Diploma in Business Studies (DIBS) exam.

Some 654,114 boys and 564,514 girls are appearing in the HSC and equivalent examinations at 2,452 centres. Apart from 2,452 centres in Bangladesh, the exams are also being held in seven overseas centres where 262 students are taking part.

Physically challenged students will be given 20 minutes extra time while autistic students will get 30 minutes extra.
