High tuition fees, lack of students enrolling at Hong Kong campus of US-based art school

Opened in 2010 with 141 students, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), currently has 243 enrolled, with the campus capacity for up to 1100 students. High tuition fees have been blamed as a major deterrent to potential students, who may look for options to study abroad instead. With current annual tuition fees at US$29,000 (HK$225,193), it will cost more than HK$1 million to finish a 4-year degree at SCAD, writes Linda Yeung for South China Morning Post
