The British Council and the Thailand Ministry of Education are establishing an English Language Assistants programme for Thai state schools.

We will soon be inviting UK students and recent graduates to apply to take part in the programme

Brief details of the programme:

• 8-week school placements from mid-July to mid-September 2012

• Working with Thai teachers of English to assist the development of conversational English in the classroom and contributing to extra-curricular programmes and school life

• Package includes: local salary; free accommodation and meals during placement; in-country travel to and from placement; in-country briefing and training programme; professional support from the British Council; programme of excursions and trips in Thailand.

• Participants will need to cover costs for UK-Thailand-UK flight, visa and insurance
