In recent times the Education Bureau (EDB) has launched a website that includes information for schools who might be interested in opening or operating an International school in Hong Kong.

The International Schools in Hong Kong website includes information on how the EDB facilitates the international school sector, and school (site) allocation exercises as have been conducted in 2012 and 2014.

It is currently unclear when another school allocation exercise might take place, however the EDB is currently conducting a new consultancy study to understand demand for primary and secondary international school places in the coming years, this study will be concluded by the end of this year.
