On 22 May a group of UK and Spanish Government representatives will meet in Madrid to try to resolve some long-standing issues:

• Recognition of UK qualifications in Spain and viceversa
• Right of Establishment for both UK institutions and UK qualifications in Spain
   

The meeting is held after a visit of the British Ambassador to the new Minister of Education and there are expectations to find ways that accelerate recognition of UK qualifications in Spain.  The objectives of the group (with high level participants from UK Naric, QAA and BIS as well as British Council and British Embassy) is to lead the change and agree to the signature of a Memo of Understanding collecting agreements and milestones.
