Education act will be amended to give vocational schools and colleges the right emphasis
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Education minister says that the Education Act will be amended to further emphasise the role of vocational schools and colleges. To encourage enrolment, the ministry would also increase the number of vocational schools and colleges.
This is one of the efforts to help fulfil the demand for skilled workers as Malaysia envisions to become a developed nation by 2020.
