Delhi to reopen schools for class 10 and 12 students (India)

Closed since 19 March 2020 due to COVID 19, Delhi Schools have now reopened for classes 10 and 12 from 18 January 2021. The decision is taken following Education Ministry’s announcement to conduct CBSE board exams in May/June 2021. More details here.

Students can come to school specially to attend practicals, complete their project work as well as for counselling. The attendance is not mandatory, and students will be requiring their parents’ consent prior to coming to school. Schools are to strictly adhere to the COVID 19 guidelines. Further, only the schools in the non-containment zone, will be granted the permission to reopen.

Several other states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam etc had already opened educational institutions since October or after. More details here.
