Fall in Indian students studying in US
According to the Educational Exchange Data released by the Institute of International Education, there has been a continuous decline in the last three years in the overall number of Indian students studying in the US. Since 2009, the number of undergraduate Indian students in the US has declined by 16 per cent to 12,740 in 2012-13 from 15,192.

Top US university sees sharp rise in Indian students
One of the world's best academic institutions said the number of Indians in the institution was multiplying. Nicholas Dirks, chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, who was recently in Bangalore, said applications from India for the undergraduate programmes in the university was rising dramatically.

India, Germany discuss opportunities in education
India and Germany today discussed opportunities for collaboration in the field of education. "Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani discussed collaboration opportunities for education and vocational training with German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner, who paid a courtesy call in her office," a Ministry release said.

Foreign student numbers growing
International student numbers are the lowest in five years, but the government says that's set to change. Last year 97,283 foreign students arrived in New Zealand - down on the year before, and significantly lower than 2010's 104,460 students.
