The Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District was named a "demonstration area of higher education internationalisation" by China's Ministry of Education on 19 December. On the same day, the Ministry of Education and the management committee of the Suzhou Industrial Park signed a framework agreement on the joint establishment of a demonstration area for higher education internationalisation to promote the introduction of high-quality higher education resources, innovate the work mechanism of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools, improve the quality of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools, hire high-level foreign experts and scholars and improve education quality for overseas students in China, reports Xinhuanet
