China's education budget in 2012 accounted for 4.28 per cent GDP

The Ministry of Education, the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Finance recently released the statistical report for national educational spending in 2012. According to the report, China’s education budget in 2012 reached RMB 2223.6 billion, accounting for over 4 per cent GDP for the first time, and has met the target in the Education Plan, as a “milestone” in China’s education development.
