Dozens of university presidents from China and Europe were brought together on 25 April to share their success stories and concerns about establishing cooperation projects to provide policy suggestions and enhance compatibility between higher education systems in the two regions.

"The aim is to achieve better quality, better structure, deeper reform and more fairness in higher education in China, and the European Union (EU) has been successful in transforming its diversity into vitality and impetus for development," China's Vice Minister of Education Du Yubo said during the opening speech.
