Centrally funded institutions in India are asked to postpone offline exams

As the Covid-19 cases rise in India amid a second wave , the Ministry of Education has issued a letter to all centrally funded universities and other institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) to postpone the offline exams schedule in May 2021. However, they can conduct online exams. The situation will be reviewed in first week of June and further advise will be given.

In an earlier notification class 10 exams were cancelled by CBSE and ICSE and several State boards and class 12 ICSE and CBSE exams were already being postponed.
