Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in China I am writing to update you on the latest guidance from the British Council.

The British Council offices will remain closed until February 3rd, in line with the Chinese government's requirement.

All British Council education activities in China in February are cancelled and we would advise against UK institutions travelling to China for education related activity in February.

If you are still planning on traveling to China in February, we recommend following the FCO's travel guidance which is updated regularly.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will make decisions regarding British Council March activity in China in due course. We will continue to update UK institutions.
