Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics says Bangladesh’s per capita income has risen by $1316 in their yearly report of 2014-15 published on 9 February 2016. This is a 10% increase on 2013-14 fiscal year according to which the per capita income was $1190. As predicted the GDP has also increased by 0.61% which was predicted to be 6.51%. This had been predicted based on the analysis which ran from July to March 2016 by the Ministry of Planning. The GDP growth is showing 6.55% growth as of now which indicates a positive growth before March arrives. Bangladesh’s economy is positioned 58th to its GDP size, according to Government officials. It was in 36th place for its Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), which amounted to $3,190.

Economic growth and increased income contributes more positively towards increased expenditure habit for educational expenses. Higher purchasing capacity creates more interest in having better and more recognised qualifications. It has also been observed that Bangladeshi migrants spend around 10 to 25 percent of their earnings for their children's education which came out from a survey.
