Bangalore becomes world’s most dynamic city

According to Jones Lang LaSalle annual City Momentum Index of cities around the world, Bangalore has emerged as the most dynamic city in the world, followed by Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam and Silicon Valley in the US.

The index uses 42 variables including the recent and planned changes, GDP, population, corporate presence, real estate construction and rents. 134 cities across the globe - both established and developing are a part of this index.  The top 10 cities in the index (in same order) are Bangalore, Ho Chi Minh City, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Hyderabad, London, Austin, Hanoi, Boston and Nairobi.  

With six Indian cities – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi featuring in top 30 of the index, India has gone ahead of China as home to the world’s most dynamic cities. Bangalore is a city of opportunities and the IT Hub of India. The city’s 2017 population is now estimated at 10,819,000; the city represents the modern face of developed Indian economy and is also home to a large number of people who have migrated from other states.
