‘Internet to be career driver by 2020’ for Bangladeshi youth

Six-nation online survey reveals Asia’s youth are ‘excited’ about future digital job prospects but still prioritise human - centred skills. Majority of Bangladeshi youth think digital technology, especially mobile and internet would be the key to their careers by 2020.

According to the BSS report, 60 per cent millennials from Bangladesh said they are “excited” about future opportunities in internet and digital sectors while the rest stated that they are “extremely excited”.

Additionally 59 per cent of youth from Bangladesh said that mobile/internet technology will be “important” in their career by 2020, mirroring the average 63 per cent youth aggregated in all six nations who agreed with this. However, only 1.4 per cent Bangladeshi youth said that technology is “not really important” for their future.

Bangladesh’s millennial also appeared enthusiastic for a technology-driven future. Youths from Bangladesh do have courage to get introduced and get involved with cutting edge technologies.
