Over 20 per cent increase has been recorded in the number of enrolments in Industrial Training Institutes or ITIs across India in 2014-15. The increase in enrolment is observed due active involvement by the industry that resulted in to a rise in student enrolments at the ITIs. Active participation by industry giants and auto majors like Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra and Mahindra resulted in progression towards partnerships with ITI’s.
